For those living in Europe, you would think that mother nature is generous this year just by watching the massive snow dumps in the Alps. However climate is a bit more complicated than that. Just look at what’s happening on the other side of the Atlantic.

Indeed, the traditional world cup races (men speed events) in Lake Louise (CAN) and Beaver Creek (USA) just got canceled because of warm temperatures and lack of snow.

On the other hand, in Europe, in Val d’Isère, the early December Criterium should not know the same fate as snow if plentiful, unlike in 2014 when the race was canceled for the same aforementioned reasons.

Anyway, we can’t miss but seeing that the global trend is going toward less and less snow in the early season no matter which continent you live in.
